Lily
The lilies in our backyard were blooming a few weeks back, so it gave me a chance to practice some close up photography. This photo looked OK to me in the color version but when I converted it to black & white using Silver Efex Pro it seemed to show off the flower's detail, simplicity and beauty that much better.
I agree. I like the black and white choice. It makes it this striking and prominent figure against the black background. And yet, the texture is so soft and delicate. Pretty!

This is a cool shot - very simple. Could be blown up as a nice picture on the wall. It made me wonder what it would look like if you added a little color back in...like pale yellow to the pistil as a duotone image?
