Just got back from a week long trip to southern Utah. Spent some time in Zion, Bryce, Grand Staircase and Capitol Reef N.P. I have many photographs to sort through and hope to put a few up in the coming weeks. The photo included here is from Bryce Canyon.
I had to post this photo of my Granddaughter Finley on her first birthday. She had just finished her first cupcake ever and as her expression clearly shows, she really enjoyed it. She even left some on her face and hands to enjoy later!
On our trip to San Francisco, we arrived at Fort Point 5 minutes before it was to close (great planning on our part). Fort Point is the old fort located right underneath the south end of the Golden Gate bridge that guarded the entrance to the bay way back when. So needless to say there wasn't much time to properly compose shots. This is about the only one that I took that I thought had some interest.
I was looking through some of my photos from my Oregon coast trip a couple of years ago and found this one. This is Tillamook Rock Light just off the coast at Cannon Beach. Was fortunate to have some nice sunset light.
I was walking along a path looking for different views of San Francisco when I realized that the path itself could be the subject.
Spent a fun evening photographing in the Marin highlands overlooking the Golden Gate. Unfortunately, no dramatic weather to help the scene out, but still a beautiful view of the city.
This is a shot of San Francisco taken in the morning hours. The contrast between the water and the thin layer of fog, as well as, between the city skyline and the sky made it a good choice for B&W.
